Springing into fitness action in 20 minutes!

After having a freakishly warm week in March, I decided to start going for power walks by the water which is down the street from where I live. I figured since there's no more snow on the ground there's no reason not to do it. Lucky for me my roommate was also up for power walking. We both want to look good and since we're starting so early it gives us more than enough time to look good by summer.

Even though we have the best intentions to work out 4 to 5 days a week there's not always enough time to do it. Everyone who has fitness goals will run across this problem. But did you know that you can get great results in 20 minutes? Yes you read right. In 20 minutes you can work on cardio, strength training and burn fat.

How? By increasing intensity! For example if you're on the stationary bike, instead of riding for 45 minutes at the same pace, you can ride for 30 seconds super fast and then ride 4 minutes, then another 30 seconds, etc...

Circuit training is another great workout that you can get done in 20 minutes or less. You do a series of exercises for 1 set, then repeat 2 or 3 times. You'll feel the burn but you'll get results.

There are even yoga and pilates workouts that you can do in under 20 minutes. You can find many of these on Youtube.

If you want to look fabulous this summer you can do it, no excuses!

Here's a link and a video to get you started.

Cheers from your fitness correspondent,

Amrew :)
