Rebecca by :Daphne De Maurier
A haunting novel. The book is one of the best I've ever read. The story is centered around a nameless heroine who feels as though she is living in the shadow of her new husband's deceased wife. There are memories of Rebecca everywhere from; portraiture's, clothing, hand written notes; to a maid who worshiped her. Our young twenty-something antagonist can't seem to escape Rebecca's presence. In the depths of her insecurity the nameless narrator is nearly driven mad by jealousy and begins doubting her marriage. As the novel delves deeper into the enigma that is the beautiful 'louder than life' Rebecca, we find out that perception is a wicked trick and that nothing is what it seems. We are as clueless as the narrator, piecing together the mysterious artifacts of Rebecca's life and tragically mysterious death, until the whole story unravels (only at the very end of the novel).. The novel has a Othello'esque theme with a much more satisfying ending. People tend to assume, create and fabricate information and Du Maurier takes this very human and common attribute and demonstrates how presumptions are not truth and that there are always two sides to every story.
Alfred Hitchcock loved the story so much he made a film out of it...it is gothic, dark and enchanting. I'm going to read it for a third time.

Springing into fitness action in 20 minutes!
After having a freakishly warm week in March, I decided to start going for power walks by the water which is down the street from where I live. I figured since there's no more snow on the ground there's no reason not to do it. Lucky for me my roommate was also up for power walking. We both want to look good and since we're starting so early it gives us more than enough time to look good by summer.
Even though we have the best intentions to work out 4 to 5 days a week there's not always enough time to do it. Everyone who has fitness goals will run across this problem. But did you know that you can get great results in 20 minutes? Yes you read right. In 20 minutes you can work on cardio, strength training and burn fat.
How? By increasing intensity! For example if you're on the stationary bike, instead of riding for 45 minutes at the same pace, you can ride for 30 seconds super fast and then ride 4 minutes, then another 30 seconds, etc...
Circuit training is another great workout that you can get done in 20 minutes or less. You do a series of exercises for 1 set, then repeat 2 or 3 times. You'll feel the burn but you'll get results.
There are even yoga and pilates workouts that you can do in under 20 minutes. You can find many of these on Youtube.
If you want to look fabulous this summer you can do it, no excuses!
Here's a link and a video to get you started.

What does "Le Petit Dejeuner" mean?
"Le petit dejeuner" is French for "breakfast" or "light breakfast" that may include a roll and a coffee/tea. The menu and name of "le petit dejeuner" has changed within cultures & times but seems to have been popularized during XIXth century France.
The term "breakfast" litterally meaning "breaking the fast" is the first meal after awakening from the night. Breakfast foods vary from place to place but usually consist of grains, protein, and fruits.
It is said that "Le Grand Petit Dejeuner" might be translated to "big breakfast" or even "the big little lunch" also famously known as brunch. Brunch, a portmanteau of the words breakfast and lunch, is usually enjoyed on a Sunday between 11am and 2pm with great friends while holding exciting and informative conversation, which may also be known as "Brunch Talk".
